Alexander Derksen was awarded with the 2011 Fokusfinder for best bachelor's thesis concerning image-processing in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. The award was presented on the annual conference of the Initiative Bildverarbeitung e.V held on June 16, here at MIC/Fraunhofer MEVIS Lübeck. His thesis "Image Registration with Volume Constraints - A Log-Barrier Approach" was supervised by Stefan Heldmann.
