Abstract: Image registration plays an indispensable role in medical application areas such as diagnosis, therapy planning, and follow-up assessment. The presentation will cover current examples from oncology and cardiology.
Since accurate registration results are of primary importance for clinical acceptance, morphological and functional validation criteria will be discussed.
Depending on the present audience, the lecture will be held in English or in German.
