Title: Advanced Stencil Code Engineering
Abstract: In the project ExaStencils we try to find a new way to make software development for applications in imaging and engineering more portable and productive without loosing performance. From a computer science point of view, the fields of computer architecture, software engineering, compilers, parallel programming concepts and machine learning are involved. The talk will provide a short overview of the current state, show some results on imaging applications, and discuss especially the biggest challenges we are facing.
